These are a great way to take a flat work surface anywhere. They're a thin sandwich, with outside layers of non-skid rubber neoprene around a stiff, lightweight acrylic core. They'll block laptop heat, provide a non-skid surface for whatever you're working on, and they are thin enough to take anywhere in the house, office or on the road.
